Place2Be’s online parenting course now available to local authorities

Local authorities, community organisations, and multi-academy trusts now have the opportunity to empower parents and carers to feel better equipped to manage their parenting journey with Place2Be’s online parenting course.

Our online parenting course, developed in partnership with SLAM (South London and Maudsley-NHS Foundation Trust), is now available for purchase by local authorities, community organisations, and academy trusts that want to support parents, carers, and families in their local area.

The course is designed to support parents and carers of primary-age children, providing them with tools to deal with everyday parenting challenges and strengthen their relationships with their children. Based on tried-and-tested techniques, it covers topics such as connecting with your child, setting boundaries, and encouraging desired behaviours.

As part of the four-week programme, parents and carers have access to:

Since 2022, the programme has been used in Place2Be's partner schools and has had positive feedback, with 94% saying they would recommend the course to another parent or carer.

“I am doing much better as a parent than before, practcing what I've learnt from this programme. I see that I am much calmer when I see certain behaviours in my children. This is because I've changed my approach to them, and I'm beginning to see fewer behaviours I didn't like. They are also putting in effort because now we communicate better the things we want to see with each other.”

"I feel much more connected with my children and make sure that I spend at least a bit of time playing or listening to them. I am proud of myself for using a calmer voice than before."
